Moritz Dästner advises clients on all aspects of competition law. He has a focus on cartel and merger control cases as well as internal investigations and general competition compliance advice. Moritz Dästner joined Orth Kluth as a Salary Partner in 2021, having previously worked as a lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Düsseldorf for seven years.

Moritz Dästner studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and the University of Sussex (Brighton, UK). He completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Cologne with secondments to Zagreb, Croatia, and Singapore. He was a research fellow at the Chair for Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, International and European Criminal Law in Bonn and received his doctorate from the University of Bonn in 2015.
