Kristoff Ritlewski is active in trademark and copyright law as well as competition law. He is not admitted to the bar, but has been Of Counsel at Orth Kluth since 2017. He advises Orth Kluth internally rather than clients directly.

From 2010 to 2014, Kristoff Ritlewski worked as a lawyer at Harte-Bavendamm Rechtsanwälte in Hamburg. From 2014 to 2017, he advised as Salary Partner at Hertin & Partner in Berlin in the fields of trademark, competition and copyright law.

Kristoff Ritlewski is Counsel of the Center for Transnational IP, Media and Technology Law and Policy at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg since 2008. Since 2019 he is Professor at the Berlin School of Economics and Technology. Prior to that, he was Professor of Business Law at the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück.

Before Kristoff Ritlewski studied law at the universities of Konstanz, Bucerius Law School Hamburg and Chicago-Kent College of Law (LL.M. 2005), he attended the University of Music in Lübeck from 1995 to 1997. He wrote his dissertation in the European Research Training Group at the universities of Mainz, Heidelberg, and Krakow (Poland).
