In this context, she represents domestic and foreign companies in both in-court and out-of-court competition and trademark infringement disputes as well as registration and cancellation proceedings concerning trademarks, designs and Community designs. She also advises clients on copyright law as well as on the law on advertising of medicinal products and cosmetics. Furthermore, she is involved in drafting and negotiating delimitation and coexistence agreements as well as licence agreements.
Laura Delpy has been a senior associate at Orth Kluth since 2023. Prior to that, she worked as a lawyer at the law firm CBH Rechtsanwälte in Cologne in the “Intellectual Property, Media & IT” practice group from 2014 to 2022.
She studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich. Already during her studies, Laura Delpy laid the foundation for her specialisation by choosing the focus area "Competition Law, Intellectual Property and Media Law". She completed her legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Düsseldorf, including stages in the civil chamber of the court responsible for matters relating to the law on names and trademarks and unfair competition, as well as in law firms in Düsseldorf, Munich and Spain. She is a certified specialist in intellectual property law.
In 2020, Laura Delpy was awarded the "Women in Law Award" in the field of "Intellectual Property" for Germany by the international legal publication "Lawyer Monthly". In addition, the international magazine "Managing Intellectual Property" named her a "Rising Star" in the IP Stars Ranking in 2021 and a "Notable practitioner" in 2022.
