As of may 1st, Deutsche Beteiligungs AG acquired Abbelen GmbH based in Tönisvorst, which so far had been family-owned. Orth Kluth Rechtsanwälte has provided comprehensive legal advise to the vendor throughout the entire transaction.

Abbelen – meanwhile one of the biggest manufacturer of refrigerated Convenience products in Germany – will still be lead independently. With the transaction, Klaus Abbelen will hand over his administration responsabilities. The new management plans to broaden the range of products and to internationalize distribution activities. Recently, the company with its 600 employees made an annual turnover of 140 million Euro. The price of the transaction was not disclosed.
