Orth Kluth advises German high-tech company BJS Ceramics GmbH on acquisition of a stake by ITP Aero

Orth Kluth advised BJS Ceramics GmbH in connection with the acquisition of a shareholding by ITP Aero. ITP Aero, the leading Spanish company for engine components based in Bilbao, has acquired a 10% stake in BJS Ceramics GmbH. The parties have agreed not to disclose the amount of the investment or further details.

BJS Ceramics GmbH, based in Gersthofen, was founded in 2014 to carve out the business and technology for Silicon Carbide (SiC) Fiber from SGL Carbon SE. With this acquisition, the most important experts for the development and production of SiC Fiber came from SGL Carbon to BJS Ceramics GmbH. In close cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute, BJS Ceramics GmbH is a pioneer in the development of SiC Fiber in Europe and cooperates with important players in industry and science.

Orth Kluth provided comprehensive legal advice to BJS Ceramics GmbH on the transaction.
