Azur Awards - Orth Kluth receives award in the category Diversity

At this year's Azur Awards 2018, Orth Kluth received the award for special success in the area of diversity. Orth Kluth beat out the other nominated law firms Glade Michel Wirtz, Hengeler Mueller, Linklaters and McDermott Will & Emery.

With the Azur Awards, the azur editorial team of the JUVE publishing house honours employers for their special commitment to promoting young lawyers, who distinguish themselves from the rest of the market through dynamism, the will to improve and their feeling for the needs of young lawyers.

In particular, the jury highlighted the fact that Orth Kluth has promoted three lawyers to full partnership within two years - and that two of them are women. From the laudation: "Instead of issuing declarations of intent and setting up promotion programmes, the firm acts. And the topic of part-time in the partnership, unthinkable in most law firms, is commonplace here. It doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman.".

"We are very pleased about the award and the recognition of our commitment in the area of equal treatment," said Dr Christiane Hoffbauer, responsible for training and junior lawyers, who accepted the award on behalf of the firm. "However, diversity has long been lived practice at Orth Kluth and is not just the subject of abstract support programmes. It goes without saying that lawyers are supported on their way to partnership and also promoted in other ways, irrespective of gender, age or origin and irrespective of, for example, full-time or part-time employment or other wishes."
