Malaika Nolde LL.M.
Malaika Nolde advises in the fields of criminal compliance as well as commercial and corporate criminal law. This includes a special emphasis on sanction risks within data protection law as well as the implementation of internal investigations compliant with data protection regulations. In 2018, she joined Orth Kluth as a Salary Partner, also being a member of the criminal compliance team. Previously, she had worked for VBB Verjans Böttger Berndt Rechtsanwälte, a law firm specialising in commercial and tax criminal law, becoming a Partner in 2016.
Malaika Nolde studied law at the University of Mainz and completed her supplementary studies to an LL.M. (Legal Informatics) at the University of Hanover and the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. From 2005 to 2008 she had worked as a research assistant in the Department of Information Law at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law in Freiburg. In 2016, she qualified as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and has become Certified Specialist in Criminal Law (Fachanwältin für Strafrecht). Malaika Nolde deepened her specialisation at the interface of criminal law and IT law in data protection law, acting as a “Data Protection Auditor” (TÜV) since 2011 and issuing publications on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
